VEGAS INTERIOR DESIGN MAKES AN IMPRESSION ON ONE WITH A SUBDUED PALETTE OF SURPRISING VISUAL EFFECTS

Pulling off a monochromatic look is more challenging than it would seem. If it is not executed skilfully, the interior couls appear run of the mil, or lacking of a personality. In this home, however, a near duotone theme becomes the foundation of a space where graphical interest prevails.

To achieve such a success with this design direction, the designer brings in a mix of visual elements to layer the interior with details that would invite attention to gravitate towards. In the dining area, for example, dramatic feature walls with alternating light and dark provides an interesting mirror to the use of two-tones dining chairs.

Away from the dining area, a path of mirror-dad walls leads to the bedrooms. This is so tactfully orchestrated by the designer that the mirrors not only visually enlarge the otherwise narrow passage, it also conceals the doors to the bedrooms, as well as provide for storage space in an interesting fashion.

Here, one such mirrors open up to the study room. Accented with a deep purple and added interest with stripes of purple, black and some silver, this space exudes a funky vibe that appeals especially to the young.

In the master bedroom, recessed colours help create the ambience that is desired for rest. Doused in a gradation of grey and brown, this space is a picture of colour harmony.

Some shine is added with trails of glitter that treads the height of the room. Here, a visual composition that comprises different textures adds depth to the overall understanding of the bedroom space.

Similarly clad in a repeat pattern of alternating black and white, the en-suite bathroom is an equal visual representation of striking modernity. With the use of bold stripes to accentuate the space, the designer successfully crafts a space that is engaging to look at.
